John Terry è un calciatore inglese che ha legato la maggior parte della sua carriera al Chelsea Football Club. Dopo alcuni trascorsi nelle giovanili del Nottingham Forest, Terry è stato acquistato dal Chelsea nel 1998.
Nella sua prima stagione con il Chelsea, nella stagione 1998/99, ha guadagnato qualche presenza in Premier League e ha giocato anche in FA Cup ed EFL Cup.
Nella stagione successiva (1999/00), Terry è rimasto in prestito al Nottingham Forest, dove ha giocato un ruolo chiave nella difesa del club in Championship.
Tornato al Chelsea nel 2000/01, Terry ha avuto più opportunità di giocare, inclusa la Premier League. Ha dimostrato di essere un difensore solido e ha segnato il suo primo gol nella stagione, nonché qualche presenza in FA Cup ed EFL Cup.
La carriera di Terry è decollata nella stagione 2001/02, quando è diventato un elemento chiave del Chelsea. Ha giocato un ruolo significativo nel raggiungimento del terzo posto in Premier League e nel raggiungimento delle semifinali di UEFA Europa League e FA Cup.
