Álvaro Saborío è un calciatore costaricano che ha avuto una carriera di successo in diversi club in diversi paesi. Ha iniziato la sua carriera da professionista nel 2005 con il Deportivo Saprissa, in Costa Rica, dove ha avuto la possibilità di giocare in una competizione importante come la Coppa del Mondo per Club nel 2005/06.
Nel 2006, Saborío si è trasferito in Svizzera per giocare nel Sion. Qui ha avuto molte opportunità di mostrare le sue abilità, contribuendo con gol e assist importanti. Ha giocato in diverse competizioni europee come l'Europa League, dove ha avuto la possibilità di giocare contro squadre di alto livello.
Dopo il suo periodo in Svizzera, Saborío ha avuto l'opportunità di giocare in Inghilterra con il Bristol City nella stagione 2009/10. Sebbene il suo periodo in Championship sia stato relativamente breve, ha contribuito con gol e assist importanti.
Successivamente, nel 2010, Saborío ha fatto il suo ritorno in MLS con il Real Salt Lake negli Stati Uniti. Qui ha avuto la sua stagione di maggior successo nella stagione 2011/12, segnando 17 gol e aiutando la sua squadra a raggiungere il secondo posto nella classifica finale.
Dopo il suo periodo con il Real Salt Lake, Saborío ha giocato per altre squadre MLS come DC United, dove ha avuto l'opportunità di giocare in competizioni internazionali come la CONCACAF UEFA Champions League.
Tornando in Costa Rica, Saborío ha giocato per diverse squadre come San Carlos e LD Alajuelense, contribuendo con gol e assist importanti nelle competizioni locali.
Nel corso della sua carriera, Saborío ha accumulato diverse presenze, gol e assist, dimostrando le sue abilità come attaccante e diventando una figura importante nel calcio costaricano. Ha inoltre avuto la possibilità di giocare a livello internazionale, rappresentando la sua nazionale in competizioni come la Coppa del Mondo FIFA e la CONCACAF Gold Cup.
Con la sua esperienza e le sue capacità di gol, Saborío si è guadagnato il rispetto dei tifosi e dei suoi compagni di squadra. La sua carriera di successo è un testamento alla sua dedizione e al suo impegno nel calcio.
